Training and continuing education are integral to the HeartLight philosophy. Currently we offer several levels of yoga and Reiki training with other courses planned for the future.
200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification
Judi Bar has been working with Jan Hauenstein and the TRY4Life Institute for many years. Whether you plan to teach yoga, or want to develop or deepen your own yoga practice, or both, the 200 hour training course is for you. You will learn yoga postures (asanas), pranayama breath practices, meditation, yoga philosophy, yoga psychology, yoga anatomy, therapeutic yoga, chanting, chakras, mudras, bandhas and ancient healing techniques, yoga nidra, prana vidya including Reiki attunement, energy grounding processes, Ayurveda, and siddhi yoga.
You will develop your ability to communicate the underlying science, philosophy, and spirituality of yoga through self-observation and immersion in the process itself. Bring a mat, blanket, pillow, journal, and brown bag lunch. No previous yoga experience necessary. Certificate awarded upon completion with RYT 200-hour status application. Training registered through Yoga Alliance.
500 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification
The 500-hour program continues your yoga education whether to further your own practice or teach classes or private sessions. The truly unique curriculum consists of 17 weekends over 18 months. At the end, you will receive certifications for Advanced 500-hour, Yoga Therapy and Therapeutic Yoga.
The program focuses on one chakra every two months so you can join the class at any time. We study the disease processes and physical challenges associated with each chakra to give you the tools to handle the diverse students coming to yoga class.
Training is registered through the Yoga Alliance. Classes are open to teachers who can earn CEU's as well as review or expand their expertise in particular areas.
Today yoga is regarded as a viable wellness option and support for traditional medicine so it is a good time to be a yoga teacher/yoga therapist.
Bring mat, blanket, pillow, journal, and brown bag lunch.
